We’re thrilled to introduce Jessica, an athlete who has recently made the exciting leap from an outstanding AG to a professional triathlete. Supporting athletes in their transition to the pro field is at the core of Mauna Apparel’s mission. We understand the difference that this support can make during these pivotal early stages, and it’s our honor to stand by athletes as they set new goals, whether they’re professionals or passionate amateurs.
Jessica’s journey into endurance sports began with cycling, a source of solace during her twin sister’s battle with cancer, which inspired her to give back and fundraise. Despite facing challenges like back surgery at age 12, she embraced athletics later in life, completing her first Ironman 70.3 in 2015 and turning pro at 37. Her breakthrough victory at Ironman 70.3 Western Massachusetts in 2023 showcased her incredible resilience and determination.
Jessica is also an entrepreneur, running her own spin studio in Ottawa, Ontario. Here’s what she had to say about joining Mauna:
“From the moment I tried on my new trisuit and cycling kits, I knew they were the most comfortable I’ve ever worn! The material is incredible, fitting me perfectly, and I couldn’t be happier.”
“I wanted to be part of a positive community that not only inspires other athletes but also offers great support in my professional journey. The entire Mauna team has been incredibly helpful and communicates effectively. I feel very fortunate to have joined the Mauna team and look forward to what the future holds!”
Jessica is gearing up for her first full Ironman this weekend, and we can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next. Join us in cheering her on as she continues to inspire with her dedication and passion!
